      Infrastructure uses Parallels System Automation (PSA) as a platform for services and hosting management. In used configuration PSA includes operations system support (OSS) and Business process system support (BSS). OSS secures centralized resources control, provisioning and infrastructure support. BSS executes multilevel resources accounting and secures communications with billing system of Kazakhtelecom JSC.

      Hosting subsystem is designed for risks minimizing connected with possible equipment breakage or other incidences.

      PSA solution is based on Parallels Virtuozzo Containers (Virtuozzo) technology. Appropriate software is installed on all subsystem hosts that allow different services using its resources within one sub-network. Virtuozzo technology allows to rapidly moving operating services from one host to another at failure otherwise for its prevention. Migration performed with the help of built-in tools (vzmigrate). The system also includes functional that allows downtime minimizing when services transfer.

      Servers supporting users’ resources are connected to SHD (СХД) for allocation of its data. This minimizes the risks, connected with user’s data loss. Hosting subsystems containers also subject to backup that allows reproducing the system from backup copy in case of serious failure.

     Servers supporting users’ resources are connected to SHD (СХД) for allocation of its data. This minimizes the risks, connected with user’s data loss. Hosting subsystems containers also subject to backup that allows reproducing the system from backup copy in case of serious failure. Backup subsystem is build on base of Veritas NetBackup software, Sun Fire T5120 server and Sun StorageTek SL500 ribbon library.

      Veritas NetBackup version 6.5 software will be used to create backup copies of mail system data, and hosting subsystem data. Complete backup copies will be made mainly on tapes. Approximate frequency of complete RC shall be once a week. Creation of incremental backup copies will be made mainly on the level of snapshots on disk array.

     Backup server NetBackup develops on Sun Fire T5120 equipment with Solaris 10 installed operational system. Sun StorageTek SL500 library in configuration with 5 drives of LTO-4 type and 254 slots for cartridges is used as ribbon storage device.

      Fixed network Gigabit Ethernet LAN is used for data backup transfer from clients to RC server.

      Data storage subsystem represents NetApp 6040A disk array, connected to SAN and LAN infrastructures.

      NetApp 6040A disk array in current configuration contains 140 disks with Fibre Channel interface of 300 GB each and 140 disks with SATA interface of 750 GB each. Total net capacity in this configuration composes 71 TB, where 21.7 TB on FC disks and 49.3 on SATA disks.

      NetApp 6040A disk array represents disk archive of company’s scale and represents 2 control module cluster (controllers), operating in active-active mode, and twenty disk modules (10 modules with FC disks and 10 modules with SATA disks), connected to controlling via four independent optical loops in a manner that each controller may function with any of such disk modules. Connection of FAS6040A to LAN is performed by twenty network interfaces of 1 Gb, connection to SAN is performed by eight interfaces of 4 Gb.

      The list of reserved resources of each client is divided to the following components:

    • operational system files and system software (OS and FSN);
    • applied software (AS);
    • applications data (Database files and other structures).

      To avoid important sessions backlog of file backup during execution of less important for file backup policies of databases and applied software the execution priorities are assigned. It is recommended to define the following priorities for file backup policies of appropriate resources:

    • OS and FSN files– 0;
    • AS data – 20;
    • data application files (database files and other structures) – 30;
    • Archival application logs – 40.

     Periodicity of data backup is defined on the basis of data dimension criticality level, volume and speed.

      File backup parameters of:

    • file server systems with Linux and Windows OS and System State of servers with Windows OS:
    • complete file backup– once a week, backup copies keeping time– 1 month;
    • incremental file backup– daily, keeping time is equal to the keeping time of complete backup copies.
    • data applications:
    • complete file backup– weekly, backup copies keeping time – 1 month;
    • incremental file backup– daily, keeping time is equal to the backup copies keeping time.
    • archival application logs:
    • complete file backup– every some hours (depending on the volume of mechanized log-files), keeping time is equal to the complete backup copies keeping time.

      Power supply system meets the following requirements:

    • equipment power supply is taken from a separate feeder switchboard of uninterruptible power supply subsystem.
    • uninterrupted power supply is produced from two UPS connected by parallel reservation circuit.
    • frequency in power network should be in the range from 47 to 63 Hz.
    • Sockets are mounted on the wall on the distance not more 1,5 m from equipment.

      Air-conditioning system meets the following requirements:

    • air-conditioning system keeps operating temperature in the room in a range from 10С to 35С.
    • air-conditioning system keeps relevant humidity in the room in a range from 20% to 80% (27С).
    • air-conditioning system has stationary and remote control.
    • Efficiency of air cleaning in server rooms corresponds to E category (that is higher 60%).
    • backup is provided in air-conditioning system.

      Raised floor meets the following requirements:

    • raised floor sustains aggregate equipment weight, which composes 3270 kg.
    • raised floor sustains point support load in any place not less 300 kg.
    • height of raised floor is not less 30,5 cm.
    • raised floor construction secures vertical equipment transportation capacity with a slope not more 15C.
    • there is an actuator access for cabling near each sockets block in raised floor. Distance between actuator access and the wall should be not less 15 cm and not more 30 cm.
